Our boutique on-site accommodation makes diving the S.S. Yongala even easier. Fully self contained, clean and very well appointed with all the mod cons, the complete Yongala Dive experience is now available. Now at Yongala Dive/Lodge you can eat,sleep and dive deep!!

Sleep in that little bit longer or go for a walk on the beach before your day’s diving begins. Yongala Diver’s Lodge is the closest accommodation to the dive site. Less than an hour from your bed (a 10min 4WD drive down Alva Beach, 30min fast and fun ride to the dive site) and you’re ready to have the dive of your life. We have even opened our very own on site ‘Beach Cafe’ to cater for breakfast and dinner, serving the best fish and chips in the area !!

 

Yongala Diver’s Lodge is a fully renovated Queenslander set in a tropical garden and decorated to a high standard for your enjoyment and relaxation. The accommodation is spacious with a separate dining area, kitchen, lounge with TV/DVD and sun room.
Bedrooms include two dorm style rooms sleeping 6 (with aircon) and 4 (with double bunk) and a separate Queen Room with its own tv and aircon. Separate BBQ and Beach area’s are also available for relaxing. Intenet access is also available (including wireless).

You can choose to stay the night before diving, the night after, or book the lodge and boat together as a package for a day or a weekend. Both the boat and lodge hold a total of 12 guests max. This is perfect for dive clubs and large groups as you have exclusive use of Yongala Dive’s operation.

Local Amenities (Alva Beach is 16kms from Ayr):

• The beach is just a few minutes walk from the Dive Lodge and is great for sun-bathing, walking or fishing. You will find many of the locals on their quad bikes cruising by.
• Alva Beach Tourist Park nearby has a swimming pool which they allow non-guests to use for a small fee (for those non-divers)
• The local park is situated just off the beach and has toilets and showers and also BBQ facilities
• Our new beach cafe will be serving anything from fish and chips to our tasty wreck burger. Come and enjoy what we have on offer. Café hours will be Weds – Thurs 12-3pm & 5-8pm, Fri- Sun 10-8pm.   (Although closed on monday’s and tuesday’s - we can offer salads, sandwiches, toasties and pre-packed meals to order)

Check-in: 12pm to 5.00pm Late check-in’s MUST be arranged in advance

Check-out: 10am (if diving need to check out at 7.30 am – prior to dive)

Pick-up’s and drop-off’s:
Available for dive lodge guests at 12:45pm and 3:25pm

( early drop-off’s can be arranged after 9am for guests checking out)
