Ocean Magic (Owned and Operated by Yongala Dive) is designed for speed, safety and comfort. Join us on an unforgettable day at Stanley Reef snorkelling and diving this truly untouched, healthy and pristine coral reef. Your day starts with a unique adventurous 4WD-ing for a fun beach launch. We are the only operator to access this section of reef so no crowds guaranteeing you the most out of your day with a crew who knows the reef like the locals they are. Get up close with the beautiful colourful coral reefs, unique marine life and enjoy an experience of the diverse underwater world of Australia’s Outer Great Barrier Reef.


8.00am – 4WD to beach for launch
Comfortable 90 min ride to Stanley Reef  (launch sometimes via tractor)

9:45 am – Stanley Reef
1st dive and snorkel location
I hour surface interval

Move to second reef location

12.00 pm – Lunch

1.00 pm – 2nd Dive and snorkel time

3.30 pm – Depart for Alva Beach

NB: Schedule is a guide only, times may change due to weather and tides. 

What diving experience is required?

Ocean Magic – Experience an unforgettable day at Stanley Reef snorkelling and diving this truly untouched, healthy and pristine coral reef. Minimum diving requirements is Open Water Certification for scuba diving.  No certification is required for snorkelling however if you would like to experience an introductory scuba dive then a satisfactory medical declaration form will need to be completed.  In some situations you maybe required to provide a medical certificate stating you are fit to participate in scuba diving activities.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns about the medical declaration form.

What conditions should we expect ?

Stanley Reef offers protection from wind so generally we can experience calm surface conditions with only a slight current.  It is advised to take seasickness medication before departure as we are unable to provide refunds due to seasickness.

No refunds will be made if we are unable to find your certification and you do not have your dive card
PaperworkALL Divers must complete a Liability and waiver Form, divers undertaking dive training must also complete a Medical Statement. Medical conditions which may prevent you from diving (inc. prescription medication) or any ‘YES’ answers on this statement MUST be discussed with our staff prior to booking, no refunds will be given on the day if you are unable to dive.
Pick-up’s from AyrFree transfers from Ayr available at 10:30 am and 3:25pm, must be pre-booked. (Early pickup at 7:00am may be arranged at a cost of $25.) If the boat is delayed for any reason we cannot guarantee you will meet your bus connection in Ayr.
