PADI Advanced Open Water Course

Advanced Course on the Yongala

Join a group of like-minded divers and complete your PADI Advanced Course on the Yongala wreck.

New experiences and exploration are what this course is all about, it expands your diving skills and knowledge to a worldwide respected level increasing your confidence levels so you become more comfortable underwater. The course requires five adventure dives which must include:

2 Required Dives:
  • Deep Dive – up to 30 metres
  • Underwater Navigation Dive
3 Elective dives – choices include:
  • Wreck – learn navigation and identifying and avoiding hazards (highly recommended)
  • Enriched Air (Nitrox) PADI’s most popular adventure dive (Additional Costs Apply) (Link to Nitrox course page)
  • Underwater Digital Photography – a picture paints a thousand words, Capture your Yongala experience forever. (camera rental extra )
  • Boat – get hands on, includes seting up gear in a small space
  • Aware Fish ID – discover different types of marine life and how they interact with each other
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy – learn how to fine tune your buoyancy

Self Study – required prior to finalising your certification. Choose between:

  • PADI E-Learning complete online training with reviews or
  • Traditional Manual – complete knowledge reviews on 5 dives

Day1 – 2 Dives – Deep and Wreck
Day2 – 3 Dives – Navigation and 2 other elective dives


PADI eLearning enables you to complete your theory on-line in your own time prior to arrival, no Classroom sessions at all allowing you to relax and enjoy your dives !
